Role/Assignment: Chief Marketing Officer

The Challenge

A London-based client needed to recruit a Board-level Chief Marketing Officer.

The company had already spent £15,000 upfront with a head-hunter and another recruitment agency.

Despite this investment, almost six months had passed without a successful appointment.

The COO approached Bond Williams to find a different solution to the ongoing search.

The Approach

We held detailed discussions with the client to understand the requirements of the position, the previous recruitment difficulties and the cultural fit needed at Board level.

Rather than charging an upfront fee, we agreed to work on a success-only basis, with our fee payable only if we completed the appointment.

Our Executive Search team used proactive headhunting to identify senior candidates with both the required experience and cultural alignment.

The Outcome

Bond Williams presented a final shortlist of candidates from which the client selected its preferred individual.

Within 14 days, the client had interviewed and offered the Chief Marketing Officer position to a Bond Williams candidate.

Following the successful appointment, Bond Williams was subsequently asked to recruit two further senior positions for the business.
