The Challenge
Following a management buyout, a Dorset business needed to recruit a Finance Director.
The company had already engaged a London recruitment agency but was dissatisfied with the quality and cultural fit of the candidates being presented.
For such an important senior appointment, the business needed someone with the right financial leadership capability as well as a strong fit with the organisation and its management team.
Our Approach
Our Accounting & Finance team met with the client to understand the business, the management buyout and what was required from the new Finance Director.
We combined specialist senior finance recruitment expertise with our understanding of the local candidate market.
Our search included direct approaches to potential candidates, market mapping and our existing senior finance network.
Candidates were screened and interviewed by Bond Williams before being presented to the client.
The Outcome
Within three weeks of receiving the assignment, Bond Williams presented eight Finance Director candidates.
Six were interviewed by the client and two progressed to meetings with other Board members.
An offer was made within the same three-week period.
