Division: IT & Software Solutions
Role/Assignment: Service Desk Manager
The Challenge
A growing technology business operating across London and remotely needed to recruit a Service Desk Manager.
This was a newly created position designed to introduce greater structure and leadership into an expanding support function.
Because the company had never recruited the role before, it needed advice on the candidate profile, market availability and realistic recruitment timescales.
Our Approach
We discussed the requirement with the client on a Wednesday, covering the technical expectations, team structure, cultural requirements and leadership style needed.
Once the brief was agreed, we immediately began targeted outreach through our specialist IT network.
By Thursday lunchtime, we had delivered a shortlist of three fully screened candidates.
The Outcome
The client reviewed the shortlist on Thursday afternoon.
All three candidates were interviewed on Friday.
By Friday evening, an offer had been made to the preferred candidate.
The successful candidate started the following Monday.
The Result
✔ Three-candidate shortlist delivered by Thursday lunchtime following a Wednesday brief
✔ All three candidates interviewed on Friday
✔ Offer made Friday evening
✔ Successful candidate started the following Monday
✔ Newly created Service Desk Manager position filled in under one week
