An interesting Electronics Engineer role has become available with a company that builds instrumentation helping push the boundaries of scientific discovery, supplying some of the most famous research labs around the globe.

This is a practical, hands-on Electronics Engineer position for someone who genuinely enjoys tracing a fault back to a single component, pulling apart a system and putting it back together working better than before.

Electronics Engineer key responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and fault-find across the full product range, from board-level debugging to full system-level troubleshooting.
  • Own hardware tasks end to end: supporting electronics design, running full system tests, and driving issues to root cause.
  • Validate and debug new and existing systems during development, integration, and production handover.
  • Collaborate daily with a small team comprising software engineers, scientists and mechanical designers to keep complex systems running smoothly.
  • Documentation including technical specifications, test procedures, and reports that support the smooth handover of new technology into production.
  • Drive continuous improvement by contributing to value engineering on existing products and helping shape our R&D technology roadmap.
  • Stay flexible as part of a fast-growing company and enjoy taking on new technical challenges as the business evolves.

The ideal Electronics Engineer will have:

  • A strong background in Electronic Engineering with demonstrable relevant work experience in an engineering environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience in the design, validation, or debugging of electronic equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across a multidisciplinary team and coordinate external partners.
  • A self-motivated, detail-oriented mindset with a genuine hands-on approach to problem-solving.

You’ll work on technology that directly enables scientific discovery as part of a small motivated team where problem solving is encouraged and people are given the opportunity to learn, grow and achieve.
