Part time Medical Secretary – Bournemouth – 12.50ph

What you’ll be doing:
Process patient referrals, provide general secretarial support to the practice manager, doctors and health professionals.
What we’re looking for:
- File patient records and correspondence in digital medical records (e.g., SystmOne).
- Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls professionally, including taking messages and addressing queries from hospital staff and others.
- Provide cover for secretarial team members during absences (sickness/annual leave).
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and maintain a pending system for follow-up actions.
- Provide efficient audio, copy typing, and word processing services for GPs and healthcare professionals, including letters, patient referrals, minutes, and memorandums.
- Establish and maintain filing and administrative systems, ensuring easy access and security of written or digital information.
- Manage a fluid workload, adjusting priorities as needed throughout the day.
- Use software systems such as Outlook, NHS referral portal, and SystmOne to manage administrative tasks effectively.
- Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
- Schedule and manage appointments as required.
This role is a part time role working 20 Hours per week (must work) Wed, Thurs and Fri.
