Role/Assignment: Production Manager
The Challenge
A specialist manufacturing business undergoing significant expansion urgently needed to recruit a Production Manager to replace a retiring employee.
Timing was particularly important. The successful candidate needed to join quickly enough to complete a handover with the outgoing Production Manager, while also bringing the relevant industry and production management experience required for this business-critical role.
The combination of a specialist manufacturing background, leadership capability and immediate availability narrowed the potential candidate pool.
With the business continuing to grow, the client needed to move quickly without compromising on the quality or suitability of the appointment.
Our Approach
Our Engineering, Science & Space team worked closely with the client to gain a detailed understanding of the business, the responsibilities of the Production Manager role, the experience required and the company culture.
Given the urgency of the appointment, we immediately launched a focused search targeting local candidates with the relevant manufacturing and production management background who could start quickly.
Within 24 hours, we presented four suitable CVs to the client.
