Senior Science Technician – Bournemouth
We are seeking a Senior Science Technician to support practical science teaching within an educational setting.

Key duties:

• Prepare and maintain laboratories, equipment, and resources
• Support practical lessons and ensure safe working practices
• Supervise and coordinate two technicians
• Manage equipment maintenance, stock, and ordering
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH
• Enhanced Technical skills

Hours & contract:

• 37 hours per week
• Term time only, plus staff training days and 2 weeks’ holiday working (mainly August)
• Permanent role

Salary & benefits:

• Grade 8: £28,598 – £32,597 FTE (£26,442 – £30,140 actual)

Requirements:

• Degree in Biology, Physics or Chemistry and significant technician experience.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge
• Experience supervising staff
