Senior / Semi-Senior Accountant required for well established and growing Accountancy Practice in Bournemouth.

Are you an ambitious Senior or Semi-Senior Accountant looking for greater responsibility, more client contact, and the opportunity to manage your own portfolio? My client is looking for a motivated Accountant to join this growing practice, managing a portfolio of small business and personal tax clients. You’ll prepare year-end accounts and tax returns, review junior team members’ work, and become a trusted point of contact for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Prepare Self Assessment tax returns for a variety of clients
• Review accounts and working papers for smaller clients and provide feedback to junior staff
• Attend and lead client meetings, discussing accounts, tax matters, and business performance
• Manage filing deadlines and maintain strong client relationships

About You

• Part-qualified ACCA or qualified by experience
• Previous experience preparing accounts within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing personal tax returns
• Confident communicating with clients and leading meetings
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Desirable

• Experience reviewing the work of others
• Knowledge of IRIS, CCH, TaxCalc, Xero, Sage, or FreeAgent
• Good Excel skills
