FMCG Product Developer – Ferndown, Dorset – Up to £42K

We’re working with a client looking for an experienced Product Developer to develop physical FMCG and non-food consumer products for retail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage product development from initial brief through to final sign-off.
• Coordinate sourcing, costing, specifications, and sample approvals.
• Work with overseas suppliers and internal teams to ensure quality, compliance and deadlines are met.
• Identify opportunities for product innovation and cost optimisation.
• Maintain accurate product records, specifications, and development trackers.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience developing physical FMCG or non-food consumer products for retail.
• Experience in product sourcing, costing, specifications, and sampling.
• Strong commercial awareness, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Experience working with overseas manufacturers and global supply chains.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com, and ERP or product management systems, would be advantageous.
