Purchase Ledger Clerk required who can take ownership of the day?to?day processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices and support smooth payment cycles across the business. You’ll be part of a supportive finance team and work closely with colleagues across multiple departments. This role would suit a career Purchase Ledger Clerk who loves it.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing invoices – matching delivery notes, purchase orders and ensuring everything is accurate and on time
- Reconciling supplier statements each month to keep accounts tidy and up to date
- Preparing payment runs for management approval
- Resolving invoice queries with suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintaining supplier accounts and setting up new details in the ledger
- Managing filing – both printed and digital
- Supporting year?end and audits when required
- Helping with archiving and general admin tasks
- Processing staff expenses and company credit card receipts
Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in a purchase ledger role
- Strong working knowledge of accounting systems (Sage or similar) and Excel
- A methodical, accurate, detail?driven approach
- A friendly, flexible attitude and confidence dealing with colleagues and suppliers
- Smart, professional presentation and the resilience to manage a busy ledger
