Office & Commercial: top job picks & trends

Taking a quick snapshot of the current vacancies in our office and commercial division, we’re noticing new trends and more unusual jobs that are not what we would call our ‘bread and butter’ here at Bond Williams. From roles that require high levels of diligence and a head for numbers, to senior positions within marketing, we are advertising a number of exciting positions across the south.

Hannah Hashtroudi at Bond Williams highlights how it is unusual to have such a level of movement in marketing at senior ranks: “We are quite used to free-flowing recruitment at executive level, so to have a number of senior marketing positions is a compelling prospect for marketers looking for a new challenge.”

Currently Bond Williams is recruiting for a Senior Marketing Director, based in London with a competitive salary: “This is a brand new role within the business that’s recruiting – which specialises in the design and build of commercial offices. This vacancy offers the chance not only for a marketer to advance their career and make their mark but also to relocate to London, if they’re living outside of the capital,” adds Hannah.

The marketing theme continues but moves to the south coast, with a temp to permanent Interim Head of Marketing role in Bournemouth. A salary of between £45,000-£50,000 and an immediate start is sure to generate a healthy number of applicants – especially as there’s the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

As well as more movement at senior level, the marketing sector is behind a new job role that Bond Williams is noting. “Social media influencers are big business, and the practice of paying celebrities and well-followed figures needs managing. We expect to be recruiting ‘influence managers’ in the near future – someone who sources and qualifies influencers, manages relationships and ensures the partnerships are fruitful, with plenty of product placement and social media mentions,” adds Hannah.

At the completely other end of the spectrum are jobs for the more numerically minded. This current vacancy for a Demand Planner would suit anyone with exceptional analytical and forecasting skills. With a wage of between £25,000-£28,000 and a location in Salisbury, Wiltshire, it’s a great opening for anyone who is highly organised and adept at analytics.

Of a similar nature is our vacancy for a Procurement Administrator in Basingstoke. This role also encompasses sales order duties, and revolves around the management/fulfilment of stock, orders and supply levels. Applicants are required to be IT literate, have strong administrative skills and ideally possess experience in a procurement environment. In return, there’s an annual salary of up to £25,000.

Bond William’s is also recruiting for a Credit Risk Analyst to work in Wimbourne, Dorset – a role that’s described as being ideal for a problem solver. Applicants should have a proven track record in analytics and credit risk from a mortgage lending background, in return for a salary of between £30,000-£40,000.

Proving as popular as ever are our temp roles, and this Legal Secretary vacancy offers an exciting 12 month contract for those with relevant experience. Applicants must have worked within residential conveyancing before and have fast, accurate typing skills in excess of 60 words per minute.
