Role Summary / Objective
As a Software Test Engineer at Telesoft you will work as a part of a project team, alongside skilled and experienced individuals who are motivated to deliver and support Telesoft products in the ever changing landscape of the cyber security industry and telecommunications.
You will use tools as an engineering professional and apply them in a controlled environment to ensure projects are delivered on time, to quality and to budget.

During your time as a Software Test Engineer you will work on a number of new and old products delivering a number of disciplines including; Test Strategy Management, Test Plan Definition, Test Execution and Review.

Essential Functions

  • Continually improving the quality of project deliveries
  • Primarily responsible for the overall software testing strategy
  • Understand and document high level test requirements
  • Accountable for quality of all software released, and test completion reports
  • Monitoring and reviewing test plans and adherence to process’s defined
  • Technical Leadership of all Test Engineers
  • Provide hands on leadership in testing techniques, and best practices for both functional and non-functional testers
  • Perform FAT, SAT and UAT cycles, in attendance with customers where required.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Experienced in team leadership
  • Practised in designing and documenting test strategy
  • Solid knowledge of test automation patterns such as TDD and BDD
  • Hands on experience of all types of functional and non-functional testing
  • ISTQB
  • Experience of Linux and Networking
  • Ability to analyse risk and root cause
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration
  • Hands on experience with Python, Robot Framework and Selenium

Supervisory Responsibility
This position will provide guidance and leadership to junior members of the team such as graduates and apprentices.

Travel
UK and overseas travel may be required in accordance with business needs.

Work Authorisation / Security Clearance
You must be eligible to apply for SC level security clearance and may be required to undergo DV clearance.
