Product Technologist required to join our client; an innovative company based in Poole. This is a great opportunity for a junior technologist or graduate to further their career within a growing company.
Drive accurate workflow throughout the development and product process through to 1st production, assisting in achieving OTIF delivery.
Risk review prototypes, identify and communicate findings with the brand and product teams and add to the database.
Check and evaluate samples against product specifications, drawings and other agreed criteria and share findings with suppliers and brand team.
Problem solve any changes required or issues found and co-ordinate improvements with the suppliers.
Develop and maintain comprehensive product specifications, instruction manuals and verification of labels
Effectively communicate with suppliers and internal departments on product developments, helping to deliver an efficient product programme.
Attend/organise project related meetings.
Support the early development of products ensuring safety and quality attributes are maintained.
Work with the compliance team to ensure all products adhere to relevant standards and legislation
Liaise with Product Analysts to implement improvements in supplier performance and future product quality.
Skills and Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in design/engineering/electronics or industry recognised electrical/electronic/engineering qualification.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a technical or compliance role within product-based background.
The role will require travel within the UK and overseas.
Good systems knowledge especially Excel & MS Office.
Good analytical & numerical skills, and attention to detail in all tasks.
Effective communicator & networker.
Excellent admin and organisational ability, also flexible and able to prioritise and escalate concerns when needed.
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and managing time effectively.
Strong collaboration skills.
