Product Development Manager – Salary circa £35k – Shaftesbury
Product Development Manager required to join our client, a prestigious company based in Shaftesbury. This is an exciting opportunity to join a luxury company that will nurture your career.
Attend trade shows in UK and abroad to identify new products both in respect of packaging and consumables.
Develop White Label Ranges with the buying teams of key customers as required.
Ensure that tailored (‘bespoke’) products are ranged in a timely way to meet the customer’s criteria, photographed and then returned to the Contact Centre Team.
Ensure that existing ‘hot stock’ on site which is unallocated is considered for all potential NPD and used where possible.
Work with buyer to ensure strong commercial deals from suppliers are considered.
Ensure that sample stock is requested when required and followed up with the supplier as appropriate.
Ensure that Bespoke are ‘Test Packed’ after initial approval from the customer and GIS (Internal Ranging System) is updated to reflect the actual packaging within (previously a guesstimate) ahead of receiving payment and proceeding to order the stock.
Ensure that the Sample Room and Photo Studio are kept tidy and liaise with the relevant Project Managers to prepare the Sample Room ahead of customer meetings.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure that samples are received because of agreed actions after meetings or from visits to trade shows.
Manage the Product Development Assistant.
Take reasonable care of Health and Safety of self, other people and resources whilst at work to comply with our and our customers Health and Safety obligations.
Co-operate with your line manager, or any other person with specific responsibility for Health and Safety, to enable us to comply with our Health and Safety obligations and responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Skills and Requirements:
Proven background in Product Development/Management.
Packaging and Consumables knowledge.
Strong Relationship building skills.
Attention to detail.
