PR and Social Media Officer – Salary of £30,000 – Wimborne
PR and Social Media Officer required to join our client, a prestigious company based in Wimborne. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the companys profile, help manage its reputation, influence opinion through external communications and evolve and manage the company’s social media strategy.
Develop and maintain relationships with the local, national, trade and education media.
To research, devise and manage the company’s social media strategy and monitor competitor activity in this area.
To maintain and manage all social media platforms with posts, tweets, competitions etc.
To identify and maximise potential stories for external publicity, writing and distributing press releases and articles.
To help organise events such as exhibitions and seminars.
To help write a copy for company’s literature and content for the company websites including writing regular articles for the news pages.
To monitor and report on coverage and engagement achieved.
To support marketing team colleagues with campaign and product development tasks
To write content for and create monthly emails.
Assisting with other marketing and communications activity when required.
Leading projects – Marketing Opt-In, Data capture.
Skills and Requirements:
Experienced communications professional
Can communicate effectively, in all forms and at all levels
Excellent computer skills – Word, Excel, Powerpoint (or similar)
Experience of managing social media platforms and content management platform
Ability to work on own initiative
Knowledge of Photoshop and Indesign
Dotmailer and Sitefinity experience
