An exciting temporary to contract opportunity has arisen for someone looking to progress their housing career to the next level as a Neighbourhood Officer. Based from the clients Winchester office, you will deliver a high-quality housing management service to residents in the Winchester and Chichester areas.
Responsibilities of the Neighbourhood Officer include:
To carry out and monitor regular estate inspections, tenancy audits and ensure accurate records are maintained and actions are taken to deal with issues.
To manage tenancies related to housing services residents in accordance with policies, procedures and targets.
Be the point of contact to resolve and investigate complaints by residents and provide advice and guidance.
Ensure that IT systems are regularly updated, and effective manual record systems are maintained.
To build relationships and work with both internal and external stakeholders
To attend and represent the company at court, external meetings, case conferences, forums and evictions
Ensure that the tenancy management objectives and key performance indicators are achieved.
Responsible for resolving customer queries promptly, including liaison with the Operational Teams, residents, local authorities and 3rd party providers as required.
Work with diverse tenants who require extra support and refer them to appropriate support services.
The successful Neighbourhood Officer will have:
Knowledge of housing law and housing management issues, welfare benefits and financial inclusion.
Experience of working with vulnerable people and community groups
Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience of problem solving for customers and understanding customer needs
A full, clean UK driving licence
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths & English (level A*-C)
A willingness to undertake professional development
Preferably a professional (CIH) qualification
