Infrastructure IT Support Engineer – Poole – 25,000 pa
An IT Infrastructure Support Engineer is required by a growing company based in Poole. The company is seeking someone who has a strong technical support background on an IT service desk.
The company is very well-established and extraordinarily successful, and they are looking to grow their IT support team. It is a brilliant time to join them whilst they have remained strong, secure, and stable throughout the current climate.
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for proactively preventing issues from occurring and supporting applications, desktops, and end user devices for external clients. You will need to have a minimum of 2nd line IT support experience with solid understanding of IT infrastructure solutions and be able to manage your own queues. You will need have strong communication and customer relationship skills, and work to defined SLA’s.
Please note that flexibility is essential as this position will operate over three defined shift patterns. These will cover Monday to Sunday and be 7 hours each day, 5 days per shift. This will be discussed in more detail during an interview.
Strong experience working in a customer focused IT support role in a technology environment (ideally within an MSP/ IT Reseller)
Minimum of second line IT support experience in the following technologies:
TCP/IP, DNS and Active Directory/Group Policies
Networking – routers, switches and wireless access points
Microsoft cloud solutions – Microsoft 365, Azure/Intune
Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, including Exchange
Additional experience of the following products or similar: N-Able, Bulletproof, Veeam, Microsoft RDS, VMware ESX Server/vSphere, Citrix XenApp/Xendesktop/ Netscaler, EMC SAN, Sonicwall Firewalls
Must be able to work shifts as detailed above
Salary and Benefits:
The salary is up to £25,000 p.a. depending on experience plus performance related bonuses. Benefits include pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a staff discount scheme, and free parking. The business is currently operating a remote working policy during Covid-19 restrictions, however please be aware that some normal office working may resume when further government direction is provided.
