Are you an experienced Infrastructure and Cloud Architect seeking a new challenging opportunity where you will utilise your decision-making expertise for systems architecture and design, advising on system builds, and ensuring the success of enterprise-level deployments.
As an Infrastructure and Cloud Architect you will architect, design and integrate application, operating systems, networks, server and storage technologies, disaster recovery, and public cloud strategies. You will provide input on risk, scalability, operational/cost efficiency, and impact on enterprise business processes and goals. You will be responsible for performance, scalability, availability, security and disaster recovery, advising on infrastructure roadmaps, providing leadership and technology guidance, and ensuring that resolutions are documented.
You will have a large involvement with other teams and senior management in a complex environment, solving unique problems that have a broad impact on the business, and may lead teams and projects to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Infrastructure & Cloud Architect Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar related role
Strong skills in infrastructure and cloud architecture and design is essential
Previous experience in designing, implementing and administering VMware, SRM, Windows 20032012 and/or Linux platforms
Windows, Red Hat Linux and/or VMware industry/vendor Certification (e.g. MCSE, MCITP, RHCE, VCP)
Experience in designing and troubleshooting, server, storage and network issues is preferable
Experience with Micro Services Architecture, DevOps models (and technologies such as Jenkins, Github, Infrastructure as Code, Ansible, Python and Docker) and/or AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform is preferable
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional and/or MCSA: Cloud Platform is advantageous
Familiarity with ITIL concepts and procedures is desirable
The salary for this position is up to around £70,000 p.a. depending on your skills and experience.
