Bond Williams Accounting & Finance is exclusively recruiting a Financial Controller for the UK subsidiary of a successful European parent that operates globally. The Poole site is small but is one of the group’s most successful and profitable entities supplying to blue chip companies. The current incumbent is retiring at the end of April 2019 so looking for a replacement to start around early/mid-April.
This is a stand alone, very ‘hands on’ position reporting to the MD and taking responsibility for all financial aspects including: sales and purchase ledger, VAT, EC Sales Lists, intrastat returns, cash/treasury management, foreign currency exchange, job costing, credit control, fixed assets, stock control, checking returns from the payroll bureau, P11D submissions, monthly management accounts, company secretarial duties, annual budgeting, bi-monthly flash reports to parent company and liaise with auditors at year end.
Qualified is essential (ACA/ACCA/ACMA), together with experience of small company accounts and good working knowledge of Sage 50 and strong Excel. Possible upgrade of system in 2019 to an ERP system so experience of new system implementation an advantage. Ability to work as part of a small, friendly team. Parking, pension, 25 days holiday and generous bonus. 38 hour week, but lots of flexibility, early finish Friday and potential for 4 days. Excellent working environment.
