Buying Assistant – Salary up to £25,000 – Shaftesbury
Buying Assistant required to join our client, a luxury company based in Shaftesbury. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your current skills and knowledge within a company that will nurture your career prospects.
To update product descriptions and prices on bespoke GIS software as required but especially after each annual supplier meeting
To prepare and send the annual supplier letter as directed by the Product Development Manager and to download supplier information post meeting to be internally reviewed before sending to the supplier for confirmation that the details and prices are correct.
To ensure that all relevant samples are present and organised correctly on the shelves and that they have been marked as updated on GIS as required
To organise supplier sample in preparation for supplier review meeting to ensure that all are still current and to ensure that our sample is presentable for customers
To aid the buying team with the preparation of purchasing runs, to produce the relevant documentation for the stock ordering team and to check all details are correct.
Help with the development of products.
As required, to attend trade shows to meet suppliers and identify new products
As required, to aid with the project management of key customer accounts
To ensure that the sample room is well organised, tidy and presentable for both internal and external usage at all times.
Key Skills and Requirements:
Retail product knowledge
Good relationship building skills with stakeholders internally and externally.
Experience of meeting with suppliers and identifying new products.
Strong administration skills.
