An Assistant Financial Accountant is being recruited exclusively by Bond Williams Accounting and Finance for a large business going through an exciting period of change and growth.
Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will oversee 3 staff undertaking sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll, have responsibility for accounts up to trial balance including month end journals, manage the time and attendance data for payroll and assist and provide cover for monthly management accounts preparation. You will need to ensure sales and purchase ledgers are closed in line with month end deadlines, ensure payroll data is processed and passed to bureau on a timely basis, process accruals and prepayments, variance analysis, management of supplier payments and reconcile and submit VAT returns and deferment (including German VAT and intrastat).
Your will need to have a good understanding of transactional processes, technical knowledge of payroll/time and attendance and previous management accounts experience. You will also ideally be AAT part or fully qualified, have strong Excel and supervisory skills. A very modern working environment is offered, parking, 23 days holiday. This role would be to start as soon as possible.
