Site Manager – New Milton – £Competitive

A Site manager is required for our client based in New Milton. This is an exciting new opportunity for someone in the construction industry. This will be a site based role with the responsibility of project managing all the projects assigned to them across London, South, South East and West.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage site inductions and oversee all aspects of Health and safety including the management and administration of all folders and paperwork up to date including understanding and reviewing RAMS
  • Managing subcontractors & trades on site
  • Setting up and maintaining a clean & tidy site
  • Manage the site workbook
  • Carry out snagging of works and ensure items are rectified and to the correct standard
  • Arranging internal & external team meetings, client meetings and sub-contractor meetings, along with recording and distributing minutes
  • To book sub-contractors onto project to meet program deadlines
  • To review & comment on drawings
  • To update the program of works on a weekly basis
  • Programme design and management
  • To give instruction to sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Manage change orders and site costs alongside the Contracts Manager and Project Surveyor
  • Develop, Implement and Report on Zero Defect Delivery Initiatives
  • Be an ambassador for Zero Defect, On Time Delivery
  • Work with the Project Team to prepare winning bids

Key Skills

  • 3 years + experience of construction site working
  • NEBOSH, IOSH or CSCS black card would be desirable but nit essential.
  • Broad property, building or construction background
  • Able to design and manage a programme of works (ASTA power project ideal)
  • Experience in using site project management software such as Procore
  • Good communication skills
  • A good understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Ability to understand and manage/update the workbook throughout the job
  • A good understanding of M&E systems
  • Experience of managing office relocations, refurbishments and fit-outs including IT infrastructure
