Project Manager – Wimborne – Salary circa £35,000 – 14 month FTC

A Project Manager is required for our client base in Wimborne to join their operations and IT team. The main aspect of the role is to work closely with the Lead project manager to drive forward activity and support the delivery of projects, which will include third party integrations, oversight of system development builds and first line oversight of risk, issues and dependencies.

Main responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Project Manager and team members to provide support and knowledge sharing to meet project workload demands
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure solutions meet business requirements
  • Collate and drive Risks, Remediation actions, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Decisions
  • Support testing activities to ensure that all is delivered within time and quality expectations
  • Support Work Stream Leads on Integration of third party APIs
  • Manage the resource plan – ensuring that all internal teams are aware of resource requirements throughout delivery of the project. Review holiday calendar and question any resource challenges
  • Produce and deliver internal reports and communications relevant to the project
  • Oversight of system development builds (Delta items)
  • Support business transition and help establish change
  • Assist with development of business cases

Keys Skills:

  • Project management principles, practices, techniques and tools including facilitation, organisation and co-ordination
  • Risk management experience including analysis of root causes
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, with an ability to convey complex information to a broad audience
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
  • An ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • An understanding of change management and experience in identifying and applying appropriate approaches
  • Positive attitude and highly analytical; enjoys challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and within a team
  • Familiarity with delivering successful change programmes
  • Understanding of project management principles, practices, techniques
  • Awareness of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
  • Familiarity with delivery tools such as Office 365, Jira
