Production Support Engineer required for an SME engineering manufacturer based in Verwood, Dorset. As Production Support Engineer you will work within a small team maintaining special purpose machinery using your mechanical / electrical knowledge to improve and maintain high volume manufacturing within the automotive, marine, construction industries.

Key Responsibilities as Production Support Engineer include:

• Providing manufacturing & tooling support to the Engineering & Production departments – machining, fitting & assembly activities as required.
• Maintenance & general housekeeping of tool room machinery and ancillary equipment
• Improve manufacturing techniques & production processes through implementation of operational & process improvement initiatives in support of the company’s continuous improvement programme.

Experience required:

• Strong engineering and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Basic machining techniques – Turning & Milling
• Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety practices within a manufacturing & tool room environment
• Self-driven, with a natural desire to complete tasks accurately and on time.
