Purchase Ledger Supervisor required for a business in Poole. The role is offered on a part-time basis over 20 hours. The role is to manage a small team of 3 and run the Purchase Ledger department fully, this is a pure Purchase Ledger 360 role. You will maintain a high quality purchase ledger function and will involve ensuring accurate and timely processing of purchase ledger invoices and payments, overseeing the procurement card system and providing management and support to the purchase ledger team.

Key duties:

  • Managing, coaching and developing the purchase ledger team
  • Preparing all payment runs for suppliers, intercompany bank transfers, salary third parties and international payments
  • Authorising the setup of all new supplier accounts
  • Ensuring all invoices are processed in an accurate and timely way and matched to purchase orders
  • Ensure reconciliations to supplier statements are done and differences investigated
  • Ensure queries from suppliers are dealt with promptly
  • Overseeing the recording and monitoring of procurement card transactions
  • Identifying areas where improvements and efficiencies can be made
  • Working with the Head of Finance to forecast future payments for input to cashflows

Qualifications and experience:

  • AAT or other finance qualification desirable
  • Qualified by experience, minimum 3 years
  • Methodical, accurate with an eye for detail
  • Strong customer service and problem solver
  • Organised and able to manage workload of self and team member
