Materials Inspector – Bournemouth – Temp – depending on experience

A Materials Inspector is required at our client based in Christchurch. You will be working as part of the Supply Chain function. The main aspect of the role is to be responsible for receiving in, processing and inspection of all parts and components, you will be an integral part of the team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Expediting and escalating purchased parts
  • Receiving and processing all parts and components
  • Work order schedules ensuring the allocation of parts meets the customer delivery requirements.
  • Administering production plans, along with identifying root cause failure modes for future improvements
  • In conjunction with Operations and Material leadership, provide and report on time to request and past due delivery forecasts.
  • Support with Customer delivery information from the factory.
  • Receiving and issuing of repair units through the parts and process, including locating repairs, setting the kitting lists and ad-hoc kitting demands.
  • Loading, scheduling, and progressing the in-house rework items to ensure timely completion and priorities across the site.
  • Administering SAP data support requirements, i.e. location, status and scheduling date changes.
  • Ensuring customer and quality standards are met.
  • Interpreting specifications and complying with the technical drawings.
  • Updating system to comply with specifications and inspection

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS office, specifically Access and Excel.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Knowledge of planning systems, SAP and MRP is preferable
  • Understanding of supplier and customer requirements and ability to drive into operational delivery.

This role is a long-term temporary role which may lead to a permanent position, the working hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm or 7am – 3pm, must be flexible with day shifts.

The rate of pay is depending on experience.
