Learning & Development Officer – Hybrid – up to £27,500

Our client based in Wimborne are looking for a Learning & Development Officer.

The main aspect of the role is to provide comprehensive and consistent business process training and technical support to the financial servicing teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure training programs are in line with the customer service strategies
  • Select and book venues
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions
  • Adhere to the companies’ procedures in all areas of the role
  • Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
  • Design effective training programs
  • Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc.
  • Support and mentor new employees
  • Keep attendance and other records
  • Produce reports and management information (MI) as requested
  • Liaise with HR & Finance to ensure training is delivered within budget
  • Conduct evaluations to identify and communicate areas of improvement including process improvements
  • Monitor employee performance and response to training
  • Assist with system training when required
  • Be aware of Financial Conduct Authority & Prudential Regulation Authority, other legislative and Society internal compliance requirements

Key Skills:

  • Financial Services background
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Logical, structured approach to planning, problem solving and decision making
  • Consultative in approach, understanding and anticipating operational team needs and proactively delivering solutions
  • Ability to work to fixed deadlines
  • Self-motivated with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment
  • Ability to facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions
  • Commitment to continuous learning and upskilling for individual self-improvement
  • Thorough and consistently able to see a training programme through to a full and satisfactory conclusion

This is a Hybrid role, and you will be required to go into the Wimborne office on a weekly basis.
