A IT Project Manager is required to join a prestigious national business based in Dorset.

We are specifically looking for someone who has a hands-on experience of managing data management, migration and system decommission projects and who can make their project team as cohesive as possible in order to deliver an excellent service to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake detailed project planning for all assigned projects to ensure delivery to cost, quality and time.
  • Manage and maintain their delivery plans, and ensure that individual project plans are up-to-date, appropriately resourced, and on-track.
  • Run daily stand-ups, and ensure follow-up engagement activities occur.
  • Ensure team members are on-track with tasks as per project plan.
  • Manage issues / change / decisions, and escalate as appropriate
  • Run Project Team meetings (prep and follow-up actions)
  • Produce Project Meeting minutes / notes.
  • Manage and maintain all visual management tools.
  • Produce detail for monthly internal and external management reporting
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand the organisation requirements for assigned projects, developing effective working relationships and on-going management processes
  • Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for assigned projects, and manage their development and delivery
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning for the assigned projects
  • Quality assurance defined and monitored

Experience required

  • Experience with procurement, implementation, and embedding technology projects and programmes. Delivered projects in both Waterfall and Agile delivery methods.
  • Substantial experience in delivering large scale project / programmes. Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
    • A proven track record of successful project implementation. Excellent customer facing skills.
    • Experience of the whole project / programme life cycle, from the initial definition, approval, conceptual design, detail design, delivery, test, go live and through life support.
    • Ability to motivate the organisation and project team to meet stretch deadlines.
    • Ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions. Strong organisational, presentation, and customer service skill

    This role would suit an experienced Project Manager who is ‘hands-on’.

    You will have a strong foundation in the delivery of effective evidence based and user focused solutions.

    Knowledge of SAP and ERP data flows is essentials with Microsoft Dynamics AX as an advantage.

    Salary & Benefits:
    The salary is £45,000-£58,000 Dependant on experience p.a.

    Remote Working & Covid-19:
    The company is currently operating under a remote working policy during Covid-19. The role will be predominantly office-based thereafter, however future continued remote and flexible working can be discussed during an interview if required.
