Insurance Account Manager – Bournemouth – £Competitive + Bonus

Our client, a leading insurance company are currently looking to recruit for an Insurance Account Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for servicing a book of new and existing clients and renew portfolio whilst supporting senior members of the team. Managing and providing service by meeting client demands and needs in order to achieve optimum profitable renewal retention rate and growth.

This role is hybrid working, 3 days at home and 2 days in the office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage client/prospect/introducer relationships and grow the book/existing accounts, providing the most appropriate insurance and risk management solutions.
  • Negotiate with insurers to obtain terms for clients that accurately and effectively match customer requirements.
  • Manage own workload in order to effectively service the client relationship and ensure placements are completed within client deadlines.
  • Ensure client information and sales plans are kept up to date.
  • Provide realistic plans and forecasts on customer performance.
  • Analyse and interpret sales data to identify unexpected patterns and trends.
  • Build up a sales pipeline of business opportunities that will ensure sales targets are met.
  • Proactively seek out commercial opportunities and partnerships.
  • Promote and sell additional applications and services to clients.
  • Investigate and discover new sources of profitable business for the Operating Division and Group as a whole, including cross-selling.
  • Work closely with Internal Underwriting and Insurers to negotiate terms and conditions of placements.
  • Deal with internal and external queries from colleagues / underwriters / Insurers.
  • Ensure that premiums are paid in accordance with credit control requirements.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the Insurance Industry.
  • Tactical negotiation and influencing experience.
  • Proven rapport-building experience with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Evidence of effectively prioritising risks to manage concurrent workflow.

The working hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm.
