HR Advisor – Shaftesbury – Salary up to £35,000

Our client based in Shaftesbury are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their busy team.

The main aspect of the role is to ensure the HR department provide an excellent service by giving first line advice, support, training/coaching on company policies and procedures to its stakeholders, and by aligning onsite learning, training and development activities with business priorities. To coordinate and manage people development and onsite training activities to support business objectives.

Main responsibilities:

  • Advising Line Managers on matters relating to Company Policy and Procedures. Ensure awareness & understanding of all relevant Company Procedures & Policies.
  • Provide timely advice, guidance and counsel to managers and employees across the business to assist in resolving employee relations issues whilst ensuring that consistent standards are met.
  • Support the business by driving and coordinating absence management through fair application of the attendance management procedures/systems, coaching managers and liaison with occupational health.
  • Ensure that all new appointments, leavers and changes to existing employee details have been processed on freedom and Training Database.
  • Ensure all positions being recruited have a signed requisition form, Create & post internal adverts, advise agencies of the roles, Log and filter initial applications for potential candidates, organise interviews, Support interviews by providing questions & taking notes where required, Issue offers of employment and contracts to successful candidates and advise unsuccessful applicants in a timely manner.
  • Co-ordinate and administrate the company weekly and salaried induction process.
  • Ensure all disciplinary and grievance issues are managed and concluded in a legally compliant, fair and constant manner.
  • Produce monthly HR Reports on key KPI’s, turnover, absence, internal progression, performance mgmt., employee relations.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience within ER cases
  • CIPD level 5 is desirable but not essential.

The working hours for this role are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.
