We are recruiting for a Finance Manager for a higher education organisation and the role will be based in Bournemouth until mid 2022 but will then transfer to Brockenhurst.

Reporting to the facility Head/Finance Director, you will manage 3 staff and take responsibility for:

* Manage, coach and train staff reporting
* Lead and manage the preparation of all financial business plans, budgets, forecasts, statutory accounts and audits
* Submission of all statutory tax, VAT and other regulatory returns
* Treasury management and cashflow
* Business partnering for key senior management
* Maintain expert up to date knowledge of all relevant legislative, statutory and regulatory guidance
* Manage delegated budgets
* Analyse and specify financial technology systems developments required
* Manage customer escalation and complaints and undertake regular reviews to ensure effective delivery of service
* Prepare report for, and attend as required, senior management and Governors meetings.

Experience/Qualifications Required
* Qualified accountant (CIPFA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5 years experience in statutory accounting, VAT, budgeting
* Public sector/education experience an advantage
* Good level of Excel skills and IT aptitude
