We are looking for a Design Engineer to work for a global manufacturer based in Bournemouth. You will be working with a team of engineers to develop products for manufacturing, sharing knowledge with multiple teams across the business.

As a Design Engineer, you will:

• Work with the team on product updates and suggesting improvements to designs
• Generate technical files, data sheets and manuals to accompany products
• Assist production, quality, purchasing and sales in solving any product queries
• Test competitor products and analyse results

Experience required for a Design Engineer includes:

• An engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Use of Solidworks or similar CAD software
• Previous experience as a design engineer working on components and assemblies for manufacturing
• An understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic design

The ideal candidate will have a good engineering knowledge, problem solving ability and able to reverse engineer products to explain functionality. The role is office based in Bournemouth with an early finish on Fridays.
