Category Manager is required to join a new exciting developing business to support, develop their supply chain and procurement processes. The business valued at £2 billion, with 450 employees this is an exciting opportunity to lead supplier management, improve quality and service.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manager tenders and RFI/RFQ evaluation and validation
• Negotiate contracts and pricing on a total cost basis
• Develop and implement strategies for procuring products and/or services to business requirements
• Identify, research, audit and approve potential new suppliers
• Build, improve and manage relationship with suppliers
• Development, improve and maintain supplier performance and metrics

Experience Required:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
• MCIPS / CIPS qualified
• Experience working within mechanical or electronics or chemical manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of BOM’s
• Experience in analysing data and able to communicate to others
• Enjoy working within a fast-paced agile environment
