Category Manager is required to join a new exciting developing business to support, develop their supply chain and procurement processes. The business valued at £2 billion, with 450 employees this is an exciting opportunity to lead supplier management, improve quality and service.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manager tenders and RFI/RFQ evaluation and validation
- Negotiate contracts and pricing on a total cost basis
- Develop and implement strategies for procuring products and/or services to business requirements
- Identify, research, audit and approve potential new suppliers
- Build, improve and manage relationship with suppliers
- Development, improve and maintain supplier performance and metrics
Experience Required:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- MCIPS / CIPS qualified
- Experience working within mechanical or electronics or chemical manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of BOM’s
- Experience in analysing data and able to communicate to others
- Enjoy working within a fast-paced agile environment
