SUMMARY:Benefits and Wellbeing Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next FREE Bond Williams HR & Leadership event where we team up with Mercer Marsh Benefits to bring you this insightful three part seminar where Nikki Tigwell\, Business Development Manager\, will lead an interactive session discussing the current health and benefit trends employers are experiencing; Connor Jones\, Senior Workplace Education Consultant\, will be delivering an insightful session into how you can accommodate to the financial wellbeing needs of your workforce; and Jon Wood\, Leader of Workplace Savings\, MMB Commercial will round off the session with the launch of Mercer Smart Pension. \nHOW TO USE BENEFITS TO CONNECT WITH YOUR EMPLOYEES \nThe ongoing cost of living crisis is creating difficulties for individuals up and down the country. Increasingly\, colleagues are looking to their employers to provide something that will help alleviate some of the pressures and anxieties that they face. \nInevitably\, there is an intrinsic link between an individuals’ financial\, social\, physical and mental wellbeing; that is to say that there is invariably a knock-on effect if we find ourselves struggling in one particular area. \nIt is perhaps unsurprising then to learn that many of our problems tend to stem from financial difficulties – with over 1.5 million people experiencing both problem debt\, and mental health problems. \nWhilst many individuals therefore look to what they believe to be the obvious solution to all of their problems – to get paid more – we know as employers that it’s not quite that simple. \nWhether it be providing benefits to ensure that an individual and their loved ones are protected should the worst happen\, or perhaps it’s a case of proactively trying to educate individuals on the benefits and support that is available to them through their employment. There is certainly not a ‘one-size fits all’ here\, but there does seem to be a shift away from the traditional\, to the unconventional. \nUK Health and Protection benefit trends \nGiven the increasing costs associated with health and protection benefits\, it is crucial for businesses to find a balance between supporting employee well-being and managing the impact of poor health and limited access to healthcare. At Mercer Marsh Benefits\, we understand the importance of long-term investment in employee health and the value of preventative and proactive interventions in mitigating rising costs. \nIn today’s competitive talent market\, offering comprehensive health and well-being benefits is essential for employee recruitment and retention. These benefits not only help employees thrive in their roles but also demonstrate that their employer genuinely cares about their well-being. \nNikki Tigwell\, Business Development Manager at Mercer Marsh Benefits\, will provide valuable insights into the current landscape of health and protection benefits. We will explore the latest trends in these areas and compare them with your existing benefit offerings. This analysis will help you identify opportunities for improvement and ensure that your benefit propositions align with industry best practices. \nMercer Smart Pension: A New Master Trust Proposition \nJonathan Wood will discuss the introduction of the Mercer Smart Pension. Focused initially on the SME market\, our new Master Trust combines Smart Pension’s technology-led\, digital-first master trust\, with Mercer’s market-leading investment capabilities\, governance\, and retirement services. With an Annual Management Charge of just 0.3%\, Jonathan will discuss how this and Master Trusts in general\, represent great value for employers. \nClick here to reserve your place

SUMMARY:Benefits and Wellbeing Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next FREE Bond Williams HR & Leadership event where we team up with Mercer Marsh Benefits to bring you this insightful three part seminar where Daniel Wyatt\, Senior Scheme Design Consultant\, will take us through how to create a benefit strategy that truly speaks to your employees; Connor Jones\, Senior Workplace Education Consultant\, will be delivering a session on how you can support your colleagues with the ‘Rising Cost of Living’ crisis; and Jon Wood\, Leader of Workplace Savings\, MMB Commercial will round off the session with a quick update on market trends for UK pensions then lead a workshop\, where we can collectively consider how we could redesign UK pensions to improve member engagement. \nHOW TO USE BENEFITS TO CONNECT WITH YOUR EMPLOYEES \nWith rising inflation rates\, an energy crisis\, global recession and longer healthcare waiting lists we are seeing the majority of our clients prioritise their employee’s day-to-day wellbeing needs more than ever. The Cost of Living crisis is putting additional financial and mental strain on your employees which naturally will have an adverse effect on both productivity in the workplace and employee attrition/retention. \nWith the war for talent becoming increasingly more competitive we are seeing the need for employers to provide and introduce more support for their employees. There are many ways that you can do this but ultimately it is important that the initiatives that you do put in place are relevant and aligned to the needs of your workforce. As an employer it is your duty to be proactive and devise a benefits strategy that truly speaks to your employees\, is aligned to your wider corporate goals and objectives (e.g. ESG and DE&I) and is connected to your recruitment strategy. \nIn this workshop we will be discussing how some of our clients tackle these challenges and what the journey could and should look like\, regardless of industry. Some of the areas that we will be covering are: \n\nEmployee Listening – how can you gather and collate feedback from your employees throughout the year?\nBenefits Benchmarking – the importance of understanding where your benefits strategy places against the General Market and companies within your sector(s)?\nAudit and Review – Is the current benefits provision fit for purpose?\nHarmonisation – Have you recently been through either a merger or acquisition? Have you considered creating a unified scheme that is equal and fair to all employees across the business?\n\nThroughout this session we will be asking the audience to regularly interact with us via the Slido tool so it would be great if all attendees can please come equipped with a smartphone. \nHOW YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR COLLEAGUES WITH THE ‘RISING COST OF LIVING’ CRISIS \nIt is no secret that the current rising cost of living crisis has forced individuals to make tough decisions about their finances. In fact\, in a recent study carried out by the Money and Pensions Service\, it was found that 24 million UK adults don’t feel confident in managing their money day-to-day. \nTo help try to mitigate some of this apprehension\, and to ease some of the tension that we are all inevitably experiencing right now\, the Workplace Education Team at Mercer Marsh Benefits have created a wealth of material geared towards helping individuals to become more financially well. \nREIMAGINING PENSIONS \nMore than 10 years have passed since the introduction of Automatic Enrolment in the UK. Whilst automatic enrolment has been a success in enrolling more people into pensions; has enough been done to encourage greater engagement with pensions in the UK? \nJon Wood\, Leader of Workplace Savings for Mercer Marsh Benefits will provide a quick update on market trends for UK pensions and then lead a workshop\, where we can collectively consider how we could redesign UK pensions to improve member engagement. \nThere will be no wrong or right answers! \nThis session has been put together for anyone that works in HR or Leadership roles or specialises in Benefits & Rewards. \nClick here to reserve your place

SUMMARY:How to put the Happy into Hybrid Working
DESCRIPTION:The word Hybrid comes from the Latin hybrida which has been translated as ‘offspring of a tame sow and wild boar’ or ‘child of a freeman and a slave’. \nNo wonder it’s such a hot potato\, and hard to get right. How do you handle something both wild and tame? And how do we make a success of something that has its roots in the soil of stability and containment and its branches in the space and unpredictable world above ground? \nAccording to Yvonne\, it’s by understanding and honouring both and about really knowing who we are and what we need and expect of ourselves and others to perform at our best. Yvonne will lead us on an exploration of what we need to consider to be able to accept and fully embrace different working styles and communication preferences within the context of hybrid working. The session promises to be both thought provoking and good fun. \nYvonne is passionate about people\, communication\, and relationships\, who we are\, how we behave and why and is a catalyst for growth. After 20 years in HR both in-house and as a consultant\, she now specialises in raising awareness and holding a space for individuals and teams to explore ways to improve their working relationships whilst honouring who they are. She uses the Insights Discovery tool as a self-awareness accelerator and to offer a shared language and structure to get teams talking\, to support personal growth and lasting changes in team dynamics. \n  \nClick here to book!

SUMMARY:Is it time for a “she-bound”?
DESCRIPTION:Join us at our next Bond Williams Webinar with guest speakers Dr Alison Maitland and Liz Walker\, Directors of Becoming International\, for a session considering whether the global pandemic offers businesses an opportunity to create a “she-bound”. \nIt is plain to see that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world of work immeasurably.  This session will explore whether these changes present a unique opportunity to “build back better” for women and create a significant shift in gender equity in the workplace. \nWe’ll start by examining the changes that we are experiencing to our working world.  We’ll talk about the “she-cession” (the disproportionate impact of the pandemic on equality for women in the workplace) and the “great resignation” (the large numbers of people considering leaving their current employer).  You’ll have a chance to discuss your experiences and the impact that you are seeing in your organisations. \nAnd we’ll consider the opportunity created by these events\, to shift the dial on gender equity in the workplace.  What might it take\, both organisationally and personally\, to seize this opportunity and create an inflection point for women in business? \nThe session will be based on Becoming’s recent whitepaper\, published in December 2021 and available here:  https://becoming.international/whitepaper_becoming_international/ \nBecoming International is a women’s leadership and development business\, on a mission to help women lead unapologetic lives.  Dr Alison Maitland is a psychologist and coach\, who has lead and worked in HR and Leadership Development for multi-national organisations across Europe and North America.  Liz Walker is a coach and facilitator\, with experience in Leadership and Learning and Development for global professional service organisations. \nClick here to book!

SUMMARY:The Change Dance: Implementing change programmes that stick
DESCRIPTION:Implementing any kind of change\, big or small\, needs to keep people at its centre in order that it is sustainable and delivers to its required outcomes.  Rachel has developed a different approach to managing change based on her experiences in both corporate and charitable organisations\, as well as her love of dance. \nAs many organisations adapt to different ways of working\, adopting hybrid models\, managing relationships with stakeholders and developing products and services to meet a changing world\, it is vital that their people fully embrace the journey.   Using many analogies and behaviours from the dance world\, Rachel challenges innovative Leaders\, Project Managers and HR Professionals to implement change that sticks\, putting ‘people’ firmly at the centre using a similar approach to choreographing an amazing and memorable group dance. \nRachel Atkinson has over 20 years’ experience working in senior roles in HR\, with half of these being in the charity sector.  Most recently Rachel led the Strategic Business Partner team at the RNLI until last August when\, like many others during 2020\, Rachel decided to have a lifestyle change and set up her own consultancy.  Rachel is not a fan of the term HR and prefers to call herself a People Choreographer rather than an HR Consultant.  She sees her role as working with courageous leaders who are purpose focussed for a better world\, taking their vision\, and choreographing their people to achieve this. Rachel prides herself in having a future focussed approach that questions and disrupts tradition\, ensuring that workplace communities are amazing places for people to be. \nClick here to book

SUMMARY:Your Greatest Resource: Unlock Unlimited Potential webinar
DESCRIPTION:Join us at our next Bond Williams Webinar with guest speak Tim Threipland\, OD Practice Lead from Franklin Covey for This 90-minute session – Your Greatest Resource: Unlock Unlimited Potential \nIn this webinar we explore what it takes to develop a high-trust environment that both taps into latent talent to gain greater results\, and creates a safe space for their mistakes. Join us to discover the mindsets and toolsets of abundant leaders who leverage employee growth to individual and organisational advantage\, with a focus on: \n\nThe behaviours that foster confidence and generate excitement in teams towards increased collaboration and innovation\nEmpowering individuals to realise their full potential\, wherever they are\nHow to communicate to leadership that they can’t- and shouldn’t- do everything alone\n\nIt’s been a long\, tough haul for leaders and their teams. Now\, as you look to re-organise\, recover\, and accelerate\, how do you clear the path for your people to raise the bar for themselves and the company\, without burning them out? Or draining resources? \nFirst is to remove the misconception that your people can’t handle more. Rather\, they won’t volunteer more discretionary effort\, or believe they can\, unless their leader is in their corner: seeing\, supporting and prioritising the employees unique capability over their own thinking. It is a difficult truth that leadership habits adopted this past year with the intention of making people’s lives easier\, can instead be accidentally diminishing what they have to offer- let alone their desire to offer it. \nWith our increased awareness around why\, how and where we carry out our roles\, a 2020 Gallup report finding that “how people experience their workload has a stronger influence on burnout than hours worked” is perhaps now more urgent than ever. The longer people go with unfulfilled\, underestimated\, or misaligned potential\, the more you create a recipe for disengagement: people who are both overworked and yet underchallenged. Join us to find more….. \nTim’s passion and focus for nearly 30 years has been on coaching leaders and facilitating high-value team conversations.  FranklinCovey is one of the top leadership development companies in the world\, helping organisations implement strategy\, close operational gaps\, increase sales\, and drive high levels of customer and employee loyal. \nClick here to book!

SUMMARY:Emotions Map self-coaching tool webinar
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Bond Williams & Joyful Minds Emotions Map self-coaching tool webinar \nIn our next webinar we partner with Sarah Watts of Joyful Minds and look at Emotions Map\, a self-coaching tool that can be used to change your orientation. \nJust like a compass\, we can orientate ourselves towards joy\, peace and fulfilment.  We all have limiting beliefs and the power is actually in how we respond to them.  The actions we take impact our results and outcomes.  When we take actions from our limiting beliefs we quite often end up reinforcing the very issue we are wishing to avoid!  To resolve this we must understand what our unconscious beliefs are orientating us towards this and shift our focus to our true end result\, which is what we would love to have happen\, and choose actions aligned with that. \nIn this webinar you will learn the neuroscience and psychology behind this simple tool and how to use it to create a life you would choose. \nSarah Watts is the Founder and Transformational Coach at Joyful Minds.  With over 20 years’ experience working with people and organisations\, Sarah has a passion for leadership and culture\, and for personal growth. \nClick here to book now!

SUMMARY:Re-energise your Team and Reboot Performance webinar
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next webinar where we team up with James Hampton of The Colour Works to bring you an insightful webinar on how to re-energise your team and reboot  performance. \nOver the last year\, organisations have changed and so have their people. \nSome have gained autonomy and confidence; some have acquired new skills through the diversity of role\, and some have been sat on their hands unaware of when (or if) they will be returning from furlough. \nAs we move through the next period of change and our teams reintegrate\, miscommunication\, ambiguity\, a lack of trust and even conflict can arise. \nNow is the time to shift our thinking from surviving to thriving and reenable teams to build trust and robust communication so that maximum performance can be achieved to the benefit of each individual and the organisation as a whole. \nThis workshop is for people that lead or manage teams\, that have also experienced a Colour Works programme. \nJames helps teams and leaders find their confidence by creating a meaningful shift in self-awareness that gets teams and leaders thinking differently about themselves and others. James’ role as Development Director at The Colour Works gives him the creative space to draw on a wide range of qualifications in Hypnotherapy\, NLP\, Coaching\, Mindfulness\, Biofeedback\, Psychometrics and The Insights Discovery Model of Behaviours. This coupled with his innovative and diverse thinking\, enable James to create and establish programmes\, diagnostics and tools to measure personal and team performance. \nClick here to book now!\n
