It’s a sad fact that less than one in three employees say they feel ‘engaged’. But it’s essential for firms to look after those on the ‘frontline’. Some firms are very good at engaging their employees — Bournemouth Borough Council and Merlin Entertainments, to name just two, have higher than average engagement ratings. Merlin, who were crowned Bond Williams & Acas Dorset & Hampshire HR Team of the Year earlier this month, report a whopping 97% response rate to staff surveys.
