The client brief
A specialist manufacturing business going through a period of significant expansion and change needed to find a production manager to start ASAP to replace a retiring employee, who also needed to manage the handover. They were conscious that putting their own advert out could take too much time and that they wouldn’t yield the right result. Time and industry expertise was very much of the essence.

Our engineering recruitment division quickly got to work to gain a detailed understanding of the business, deliverables of the role, experience required and company culture. They then performed a robust search and selection exercise focusing on local candidates with the right background who could start quickly to alleviate the pressure on the client. Within 24 hours we had produced four quality CVs.
Two of these candidates were invited for an interview that took place the following day, and one was selected for a follow up interview two days later which resulted in a job offer. Within a week of initial instruction, we’d found the client the perfect candidate for this business-critical role. They started shortly after we successfully negotiated the job offer and acceptance.
