The future is digital – now more than ever before. Thought leaders agree that the UK in general – and Bournemouth’s ‘Silicon Beach’ in particular – is creating digital jobs faster than they can be filled. Great news for quality IT candidates! Can we help you find them? Call 01202 233777.

A recent study found that Britain will need 745,000 additional digital workers – coders, web developers, product managers and data scientists – over the next four years. Gerard Grech says Tech City UK’s Digital Business Academy will offer IT business skills to anyone for free.

He told the Guardian blog: “Founders and CEOs who are hiring say that universities are still not teaching enough practical digital skills that are so important to today’s fast growing digital businesses. And the private sector-led initiatives providing courses in digital skills cannot produce the quantity of professionals we need.

“The future of any nation is innovation and its ability to be constantly creative in the face of ever changing challenges, especially as technology becomes more transformative in its impact.” As we’ve stated on a previous blog, some IT skills in demand in Dorset and Hampshire are niche, some are more general. For example, Java, .Net, SQL and PHP experience is in demand but also general IT business intelligence and support desk workers.
