This morning at AFC Bournemouth, HR professionals attended a Bond Williams Professional Recruitment specialist talk: “How to avoid career limiting presentations” in partnership with Simply Amazing Training to find out exactly how their presentation skills might be holding their career back.
In this informal, interactive workshop, our delegates came to understand just why so many professionals find giving a presentation so nerve-wracking and then learnt how to influence effectively, inspire action and prepare, even last minute, for any presentation.
Dee Clayton and Marion Hewitt from Simply Amazing Training are Presentation Skills Coaches working with business professionals. Their innovative, unique and effective approach has helped to rack up 11 business award wins and finalist status. This morning they took the group step by step through their own structure for a real or hypothetical “case study” including a presentation, meeting, or call, leaving them with a personalised outline, practical ideas and an appreciation of areas they might want to work on.
Claire Bond, Director of Bond Williams Professional Recruitment says:
“This morning’s session with Dee and Marion was a really fantastic introduction to learning how to present effectively to a group while allowing your skills and abilities to shine through. It’s so important to appreciate how understanding your own personality style and that of others can make for a much more engaging presentation. It was also great to discover some tools and techniques to help us get over the nerves that can prevent us portraying a professional image in any situation. A massive thank you to Dee and Marion for an enjoyable and valuable morning and also to everyone who attended, we would love to hear how you use what you have learnt today to help you within your own company.”
Each of our events focus on an area of immediate relevance, including employment law, professional development and HR innovations. You will be able to ask relevant questions to the speaker and each attendee is issued with a personal certificate of attendance, which can be used as supporting evidence with CPD credits.
